Discuss Amongst Yourselves

I often describe my research in creating spaces of discourse for discussing food and culture by comparing the spaces to the SNL skit "Coffee Talk" with Mike Meyers (such a classic!). A topic is presented, and viewers are instructed, to "discuss."

"Grape-Nuts...it contains neither grapes nor nuts. Discuss."

Throughout this blog, I will be sharing excerpts from my manuscripts as well as providing new morsels of theoretical thought regarding topics central to critical food studies. I hope you will come with an open mind and empty stomach, finding satiation in the ideas that are shared, so that you may further the discourse around food and culture as you discuss amongst yourselves.
